BUCKLE UP FOR THE RIDE THAT IS SAFF 2025!
With less than a month to go before we host our official opening event, we’re delighted to announce a stellar lineup of films for our 7th annual Australia and New Zealand South African Film Festival! And in 2025 there is much more on offer than just fabulous films! There’s a live comedy event (with Schalk Bezuidenhout and Joel Creasey), a visit from cartoonist and activist, Jon Shapiro (Zapiro), special bonus screenings, and then some.

This year’s festival is bigger than ever before, with an action-packed line up of 9 feature films, 11 documentaries, and 13 short films!
The program includes some of South Africa’s most acclaimed and talked-about films, including South Africa’s official Oscar selection, Old Righteous Blues, and the Oscar-nominated short film, The Last Ranger. Each SAFF 2025 film sheds light on the nation’s cultural diversity, social complexity, and creative brilliance.
